November & December Update
The past two months seem to have flown by. We’re at New Year’s Eve already in Australia. The whole year seems to have passed in a blur.
The focus in November and December has been firmly on family with visits and Christmas incorporating the usual social gatherings, hours of cooking, overeating and the odd whisky thrown in.
The lull between Christmas and New Year has been a great time to catch up on jobs that need doing, particularly in the garden. With an extended cool period and more rain than usual, everything seems a little out of step and slower than previous summers, although there’s been pickling and jam making to make the most of it.
The last few years have also been unusual, although things appear to be taking shape in a slightly different version of normal finally. My hope as we step into the New Year is for less disruption and a greater sense of calm.
My personal goal for 2023 is to finish the numerous half finished novels! Happy New Year all 🙂
