I hope everybody has had an enjoyable festive season, and celebrated in a style that suits you. Our Christmas plans took a slight deviation. I had a Christmas Day menu planned and then we had a burst water pipe in the kitchen five days before Christmas, which meant drying machines everywhere. The Christmas menu was curtailed somewhat, which was probably a good thing as I over-catered as it was.

I can’t believe the New Year is upon us. Looking back at 2024 as I do at the end of each year, I’m really pleased with how the writing and books have progressed.

Publishing a second edition of Ariadne, as well as the first editions of the next three books in the Reluctant Bridesmaid Series, was a huge accomplishment. Until now, I’ve only managed to publish one book a year, so four is huge for me! I think the secret to the speed was having already created the world and the characters within it, and turning my attention to each of the four sisters in turn made it easy.

In addition to the four books in the Reluctant Bridesmaid series, I also managed to finish the first draft of Built to Last and am ten percent into writing Daily Grind. The Abraham Brothers Collection is coming along nicely.

All in all, I’m really pleased with how things have panned out. I’ve learnt quite a few things with writing this year as well, so I’m hoping to be able to have things run more smoothly and fingers crossed, get a bit more done in the coming year.

Have fun ringing in the New Year and stay safe.

Take care.
