Embracing Romance Writing
What you focus on, you achieve, and with that in mind, I have prioritised my writing this year. That’s meant placing less importance on some other tasks, and my house isn’t as clean as I’d like, nor my garden as neat and tidy as I’d prefer, but my writing practice and output have become better as a result.
I’m not one for New Year’s resolutions, but turning over into a New Year is a good chance to make a positive change, and embracing my writing is mine for 2025.
The Abraham Brothers Collection is coming along nicely. The first draft of Freddie’s story (Built to Last) was completed last year and I’m three-quarters of the way through Artie’s story (Daily Grind). Ideas for Polly’s story (Tested to the Limit) have been forming in the background and I’m looking forward to starting that one towards the end of next month.
I’ve also had the idea for a series that focuses on Ethan Blake’s siblings. I enjoyed Ethan while writing Angel, and decided his brother and two sisters deserved a series of their own. The opening chapter to the book about Ethan’s brother, Tyler, came to me in my sleep, so I hurriedly captured it for when I’m ready to start.
I’m off to a flying start this year. Let’s hope it’s an absolute cracker for writing!
Take care.
L.
